Although teaching isn’t something I am thinking of going into I thought the experience would still be beneficial.
The workshop consisted of individual school students pairing together and drawing each other with the rules that they must only look at the person and not at what they draw. They must not take their pen off the paper or look at their drawing.
For some individuals this was a very difficult task.
There were some really great responses from those that fully understood that the picture was not supposed to be perfect and followed the rules. They were also shown work from all Levels at Blackburn College and all the creative roundabouts from Photography, Textiles, Fine Art, Graphics and Media.
The whole idea behind the workshop was to show what they can achieve at Blackburn college if they want a creative career in industry and they want to further their education.
It was a good experience to see what it is like to deliver a workshop to younger adults and I am pleased I could volunteer.
